Each year, the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes defines a pastoral theme that becomes the guiding thread of all the ceremonies and celebrations during the year of pilgrimage.

For the years 2022-2023-2024, it is the request of Our Lady of Lourdes made during the thirteenth apparition "Go and tell the priests that we are building a chapel here and that we come in procession" that was chosen.

This message to priests will be meditated on:

2022: "Go and tell the priests ..."

2023: "... let us build here a chapel..."

2024: "... and that we come in procession"

To symbolize this theme, the Shrine was struck by the Monnaie de Paris, these 34 mm mini medals in gold metal on which are represented the characteristic elements of this word of Our Lady of Lourdes.

On the face: In the foreground, Our Lady of Lourdes is represented with Bernadette Soubirous at her side. In the background appear the three basilicas and a priest in solemn dress. All this is encircled by the annotation: Go and tell the priests that we are building a chapel here and that we come in procession - Lourdes 2022-2023-2024

On the reverse: The scene of the fourth apparition is stylized depicting Bernadette Soubirous, a candle kneeling and praying to Our Lady of Lourdes. This drawing is enhanced by the inscription "Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes" and surmounts the mention "struck by the Monnaie de Paris"
