"This album is a tribute to my master Xavier Darrasse, who taught me to approach music in an inventive way, not in a strict way" Jean-Paul Lécot October 2021
Jean-Paul Lécot offers us here a selection of twenty-two pieces by Jean-Sébastien Bach, classified into five sequences, which he revisits in identical keys for each sequence. He also presents us with an adaptation of concerto movements, the aria of a cantata or even a few pages of the Goldberg variations.
Just as Bach liked to do, Jean-Paul Lécot reinterprets pieces created to be played on the harpsichord or organ, on the organ of Saint-Vincent de Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
This CD was recorded from October 18 to 20, 2021 under the production direction of Jean-Michel Davy and the artistic direction of Jean-Marc Laisné.
Duration: 57'50"
