Authentic and exclusive replica of the statue of the Immaculate Conception in the Grotto of the Apparitions.
In 1864, inspired by Saint Bernadette's descriptions of the ‘Lady’, the sculptor Fabisch created the statue of the Immaculate Conception.
Positioned on the spot where the Virgin appeared to the young visionary, it has since become the image of Our Lady of Lourdes.
The original work, in white Carrara marble, was inaugurated on 4 April 1864 in the presence of 20,000 pilgrims.
Modelled by means of a three-dimensional scan of the original statue, this statuette is an exact, authentic replica of the statue at whose feet pilgrims to Lourdes come to place their prayers and intentions.
