Five years of work inspired by the spiritual journey of a believer’s life, have given us a way of the Gospel cross, in faithful echo of the Virgin’s message to little Bernadette, as a sort of living bridge launched from the earth of Lourdes to heaven.
The stations, carved in carrara marble, are the work of the Franco-Hungarian artist, Maria De Faykod.
Commissioned by the Shrine of Lourdes in 2033, this Way of the Cross called the Sick was offered by pilgrims from different countries for the sick and handicapped.
In this book, each double page is dedicated to a station of the Way of the Cross. A comprehensive and then detailed photo illustrates a meditation and a Gospel passage for each time of the passion of Christ.
The latest addition to the "Explain Me" collection, this collection is the identical transcription of the original document kept in the archives of the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes.
