Authentic and exclusive replica of the statue of the Immaculate Conception, from the Grotte des Apparitions.
In 1864, inspired by Saint Bernadette's descriptions of the “Lady”, sculptor Fabisch created the statue of the Immaculate Conception.
Positioned on the spot where the Virgin appeared to the young visionary, it has been the image of Notre-Dame de Lourdes ever since.
The original work, in white Carrara marble, was inaugurated on April 4, 1864 in the presence of 20,000 pilgrims.
Modeled by means of a three-dimensional scan of the original statue, this statuette is an exact, authentic replica of the statue at whose feet Lourdes pilgrims come to place their prayers and intentions.
