In 1864, taking inspiration from the descriptions of the "Lady" made by Saint Bernadette, the sculptor Fabisch produced this statue of the Immaculate Conception.

Positioned at the place where the Virgin appeared to the young seer, she has since been the image of Our Lady of Lourdes.
